My dress was a fit and flair Vera Wang with a very fun ruffled bottom, the bling belt added the finishing touch.
Bouquet flowers for bridesmaids were white roses (my favorite) and my bridal bouquet was white roses with blue orchids and lots of bling!
Our ceremony took place at West Union Lutheran Church. Sarah, my sister-in-law AND florist, hand made tulle bows for the church pews alternating blue and white tulle with bling centers. We had two bigger bows up front made of blue and white tulle with bling centers.
We personally selected all of our ceremony music and put onto cd's to play at the church. Our sand ceremony song was "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton. I purchased rustic sand ceremony jars which I had customized with our names and wedding date.
We are truely grateful to our family friend for letting us use their 1958 Oldsmobile 88, what a perfect addition to our day! Waiting at the end of the sidewalk for us as we left the church. It was absolutely beautiful in all of our pictures!
We had several DIY elements including the reserved signs and centerpiece boxes for the guest tables. Gary and I cut, nailed and stained them, then I decorated them with ribbon and bling to match our other decor. They turned out better than I could have imagined and were perfectly finished with the beautiful flowers designed by my sister-in-law and Hilltop Florist.
Cupcake flavors included red velvet, apple, snickers, and reese's. Our guest favors were customized can coozies.
I designed the ceremony programs with paper I purchased from office max and a template I found online. Once they were printed I added blue ribbon and bling to both sides.
Another DIY item I made was our card box. It was created using three paper mache boxes, white sparkly fabric, spray can glue, white hair flowers with bling, blue ribbon, bling on a roll, and lots of double sided tape!
My favorite moments were of course our "first look" and also walking down the aisle. In addition I really loved seeing all of our hard work and planning come together for a wonderful day!
Gary proposed in Colorado while on our skiing trip 1 1/2 years ago. We stopped at the top of Cameron Pass Summit on our way to Steamboat Springs Colorado. At an elevation of 10,276 feet I said Yes! We visited the Ney Nature Center in Henderson for our engagement session.
