Our proposal was very romantic. We were going to see a friend's band at a local bar so Jason worked with the band to "arrange" a raffle. Everyone who entered received a ticket and the grand prize was an autographed cowboy hat. My ticket just happened to be picked for the grand prize! My friend Chris, the lead singer, grabbed the hat and handed it to Jason who then got down on one knee and held the hat out to me. Instead of an autograph inside the hat, Jason had written "Will you marry me?". It was a great proposal because it was original, all of our friends were able to be there and it was an amazing surprise.
Our ceremony and reception were held outdoors at our century family farm. The natural surroundings and beautiful fall day were perfect for our celebration.
We provided yard games for our guests such as bean bags & yard jenga along with other activities such as a country style photo booth.
Kristi was budget savvy when planning her wedding and entrusted her family members to cater a buffet style "down home" meal of pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, corn & salad. She also incorporated DIY projects such as a chalkboard wedding program and personalized photo booth. These contributions helped keep her costs down and allowed her to budget for other services for their big day.
"I want all brides to know it can be done on a budget and it can be your dream, its a lot of work to do most of it yourself but it can be done!!!" ~Kristi
