September 6, 2014

Zach & I got engaged in March 2014 while hiking in Sedona, AZ. We were on top of Devil’s Peak where the views were breathtaking, how could a girl say no!

Zach also made to sure to pack a bottle of my favorite wine, two glasses and a blanket.  We spent the rest of the afternoon with our feet dangling over the top of a mountain literally on top of the world!

My dress was designed by Maggie Sottero and was a blush pink color. It fit perfectly with our rustic / elegant wedding theme!

My shoes were blush pink Badgley Mischka’s that sparkled! I never wanted to take them off!

The guys wore classic black tuxes by Michael Kors with bow ties and suspenders.

My maids were decked out in a long black chiffon dresses with jewelry from

Bauble Bar!

All of the stationary was designed and printed by me! I own a wedding stationery business called Karly K Designs. From the invitations to the programs to the table numbers at the reception, everything was carefully styled to coordinate together perfectly!

I designed special favors for the ceremony. I hand made Happy Tears tags and wrapped them around Kleenex so the ladies wouldn’t ruin their makeup during the ceremony from all of their “happy tears.”

I custom made our ring bearer box and hand painted our initials on the outside of it! It’s such a special keepsake that we keep on our bedroom dresser to put our rings in at night!

My flowers were a DREAM.  Flowers by Jeanie did such an amazing job. The majority of the flowers were large head baby’s breath and they filled the reception tables at the Marriott. My bouquet was special and filled with blush garden roses, ivory mums, baby’s breath, pink astilbe, and dusty miller. It was the most beautiful bouquet, I’ve ever seen. Jeanie finished each bouquet by tying with twine. I added my great grandmother’s crystal broach to my bouquet for a special finishing touch.

I worked closely with Everly Lace LLC to create a rustic feel for the reception room. Gorgeous champagne sequin linens and mercury glass brightened the whole room and chandeliers hung right above the head table on the dance floor. Our guests partied underneath them all night long dancing to music by band Soul Tree.

We had a cupcake bar that was piled high with lemon, raspberry, and caramel filled cupcakes! They were dusted with ivory pearls and pink icing!

Our favors were mixed CD’s with our favorite songs. We included special songs that were played on our wedding day! It’s a great keepsake for people to remember such a fun day!

My favorite part of the day was marrying my best friend and enjoying the end result of planning and coordinating with our fantastic vendors.

My wedding day was everything I wanted and more. It was the best day of my life!
